Majestic Hotel description
Welcome to the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona - This hotel is located on Passeig de Grŕcia in the Eixample district, two blocks from Gaudí’s La Pedrera and one km (one half-mile) from the markets and galleries along Las Ramblas. The hotel’s rooftop terrace is home to the mural-splashed Bar de la Piscina, and a swimming pool and deck that offer spectacular views of Gaudí’s La Sagrada Família cathedral. All 303 guestrooms are decorated in warm Mediterranean colors and have wireless Internet access, laptop-size safes, minibars, stereo systems, interactive TVs, and marble baths.
What to expect: The glass-fronted entrance to this imposing neoclassical building is flanked by designer boutiques. A large chandelier hangs in the cream marble lobby, as does a huge tapestry. The public spaces, all displaying contemporary works of art, bustle with corporate guests arriving or leaving for meetings.
Amenity highlights: The hotel’s health center has resistance and cardiovascular machines, free weights, a sauna, and a steam room. It is accessed via the roof terrace, which features a swimming pool and sun-loungers. There is a full service business center, conferencing facilities for up to 500 and wireless Internet access (fee) throughout the building.
Insider tip: The roof terrace offers excellent views of Barcelona and in particular the spires of La Sagrada Família. Guest wishing to get closer to Gaudi architecture need only walk two blocks to the splendid La Pedrera (Casa Milá).

The poolside bar leads through to a health club with cardiovascular machines, resistance machines and free weights. There is also a sauna and steam room.

Drolma - Drolma features fine dining from a traditional Mediterranean ŕ la carte menu. Typical dishes include the Wild Pheasant with Foie Gras and Apples. The restaurant seats 45 and has floor-to-ceiling dark wood paneling, inlayed with finely detailed architectural-style drawings depicting rows of classical columns.
El Buffet del Majestic - The Majestic’s large buffet restaurant is decorated in pale lemon with light olive table cloths. It serves buffet breakfast and lunch. The ŕ la carte dinner menu features modern Mediterranean cuisine.
El Bar del Majestic - Dark wood floor-to-ceiling paneling, black armchairs and quiet alcoves make this bar an ideal setting for an informal meeting. Serves beers, wines, cocktails from 10 AM-1 AM.
El Bar de la Piscina - The poolside bar serves drinks and light snacks throughout the day.
