Welcome to the Ritz Hotel in Barcelona - In October 1919, the Hotel Palace (Ritz) had its officially 5 stars GL (luxury hotel). The history of the Hotel Palace (Ritz) has gone hand in hand with the most remarkable events in Barcelona, during the last century. Hotel Palace has been part of the big events that the city has lived giving covers to all the celebrities. The most important personalities the Hotel Palace has lodged in as: the Dukes of Windsor, Withney Houston, Sophia Loren, Ava Gadner, Salvador DalĚ, Xavier Cugat, Woody Allen, Pierce Brosman, Reina Noor de Jordania and Mjhail Gorbachev. The Palace offers 120 rooms, including 80 Deluxe rooms, 34 Junior Suites, 5 Suites and one Royal Suite Salvador Dalí, all offering a classical style of accommodation to which the comforts of a luxury five-star hotel can be added. Three non-smoking floors are available. All rooms have been carefully decorated, with high ceilings and large windows, which make the rooms stand for its brightness. In the décor elegant shapes predominate, the neutral tones and touches giving it a unique quality in design and comfort and which distinguish a great establishment. All rooms benefit from the most modern equipment: air-conditioning, satellite TV, direct telephone, Wi-Fi internet access, safe, mini-bar, twenty-four-hour room service, capricious “amenities” in the complete bathroom, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer... Our rooms, also have doubled-glazed windows to ensure a quiet stay for the guest. All rooms have 220 and 110 volt electricity supply and adapters are available from the housekeeper. These are the standard rooms. All exterior with double-glazed windows, with city view, decorative fireplace and elegantly and charmingly decorated with beautifully upholstered walls. The most peculiar feature is the Roman Bathroom, made of mosaics and inspired in the old Roman hot baths. These rooms guarantee the most pleasant stay in an atmosphere of luxurious comfort. Exquisitely decorated, the suites provide the option of 1 or 2 bedrooms, with a completely independent and elegant living room, which can also be used for small executive meetings, in where the client can dispose of work material. All of them have an exclusive Roman Bath inspired in the ancient Roman Terms. Size: 60m˛. Presents itself as a singular reference of 21st Century Spanish creative cuisine, reinventing the hotel’s gourmet menu through its exquisite and youthful service.. The real inspiration behind Cćlis Restaurant is Romain Fornell, with an acknowledged international reputation as a chef, and who has been the person encharged with completing this unrivalled setting with his innovative cuisine. His philosophy boils down to giving all the importance to the product in season, which is why the menu changes often and with the season. As well as this, his creativity and culinary knowledge can be reflected in the sampling culinary menu, which varies according to the market, thus always offering the best quality. In short, the Cćlis provides high quality Mediterranean cuisine based on seasonal product, with author’s own personal touch and in perfect harmony with the art of well-eating. Located on the Mezzanine Level, the Palace’s Health Club opens from 07:00 to 21:00, weekends included. With modern installations and created specially for the care and well-being of the body through specialized treatments and services, it is an area where the clients can find an ideal place to relax and enjoy their time off. A space with a fitness area, with personalised gym, sauna, massage and beauty cabins. Massages, reflexology, facial treatments, thermal muds, drainage treatments, weight reduction and many others are available at the Health Club, to reduce physical tiredness and relax after a long working day. Located in the heart of the city of Barcelona, in the most prestigious commercial and financial area, close to the best shopping area (Paseo de Gracia, Rambla Catalunya, Diagonal), and very near the extraordinary Gothic Quarter, a short walk from “Las Ramblas” and just a few minutes away from Gaudi’s most emblematic works. The hotel is also closely located from Barcelona Music Hall “Palau de la Musica” and from the Opera House”Liceu de Barcelona”. Inspite of its central location, the Palace is situated only 20 minutes from Barcelona Airport.
